Where Torres Strait Islander Culture Meets Exceptional Culinary Experiences
Feasty Foodz™ is proud to collaborate with Strait Experience, bringing together cultural storytelling, culinary innovation and authentic Torres Strait Islander cuisine to create immersive dining experiences. Led by Chef Mandii, Founder of Feasty Foodz™, this collaboration celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the Torres Strait Islands through contemporary dining, traditional flavours and meaningful cultural connections.
Our Culinary Collaboration
In September 2026, Chef Mandii served as Executive Chef & Culinary Director for the inaugural Tourism Innovation Summit Restaurant Experience on Waibene (Thursday Island), hosted by Strait Experience. The exclusive dining event brought together culinary artistry, cultural storytelling and contemporary hospitality, showcasing the unique flavours and food traditions of the Torres Strait. Guests enjoyed a specially curated 8 - course culinary experience celebrating Island ingredients, traditional cooking knowledge and innovative menu development.
The evening also featured Art on the Menu, with renowned Torres Strait Islander artist David Bosun creating artwork alongside guests, connecting visual arts with the dining experience.
Beyond the Dining Table
Our collaboration explores new opportunities to bring Torres Strait Islander culinary experiences to communities, visitors, corporate groups and tourism audiences. Through cultural dining experiences, culinary demonstrations and collaborative tourism initiatives, we aim to strengthen the visibility of Torres Strait Islander cuisine within Australia's hospitality and tourism industries.
